Our flooring installation contractors have worked for us for over 20 years. This means you can count on their expertise to produce quality results. To streamline the tile installation process, we recommend going through the checklist below so your home will be ready when our contractors arrive.
Remove Old Flooring
Before we can install your new tile floor, you’ll need to make arrangements to have your old flooring removed. Our contractors are more than happy to remove your old flooring for you. Just make sure you call our tile flooring store ahead of time so we can make arrangements. You are also free to hire your own contractor to remove old flooring.
All furniture will need to be removed from the room before tile flooring installation can begin. While you can do this yourself (or bribe family members with pizza), you can also let our contractors do the heavy lifting. Just make sure you call our tile flooring company beforehand so we can make arrangements. You’ll also want to remove all fragile items from the room.
Measure Door Clearances
Measure door clearances before you have your tile installed. If the new floor is thicker than your existing floor, it may be hard to open and close doors. Plan in advance to have someone shave or saw the correct amount off the bottom of each door so they don’t drag.
Paint before Flooring Installation
It only makes sense to paint or wallpaper before our contractors install your new stone tile floors. That way, you won’t have to worry about dripping paint onto your brand new floors. Keep extra paint to touch up any post-installation nicks.
