Our hardwood floor installation contractors have worked for us for over 20 years, which means you can depend on them to produce quality results. Our flooring contractors will install the hardwood flooring you buy from our store so you can easily transform your home or commercial building. To streamline the flooring installation process, we recommend you go through our checklist before our contractors arrive.
Arrange for Old Flooring to be Removed
Before new hardwood floors are installed, you’ll need to arrange for someone to remove your old floors. For your convenience, our contractors can remove old flooring. Let us know ahead of time so we can make the proper arrangements.
Arrange Furniture to be Moved
The contractors at our hardwood floor company are willing to help you move furniture out of the room. However, you’ll need to let us know ahead of time if this is what you want. Be sure to remove all fragile items from the room before our contractors arrive.
Measure Door Clearances
Measure door clearances before you have your wood flooring installed. If the new floor is thicker than your existing floor, you may have difficulty opening and closing doors. Plan in advance to have someone shave or saw the correct amount off the bottoms of each door so they don’t drag.
Paint before Hardwood Floor Installation
It only makes sense to paint or wallpaper before your wood floors are installed. That way, you don’t have to worry about spilling a few drops of paint on flooring that will soon be replaced. Keep extra paint to touch up any post-installation nicks. We are a hardwood flooring store that cares about making sure your installation is a success.
