Maybe you want wood, marble, or other stones, but it's out of reach of your wallet. The good news is that you can get all these and more with luxury vinyl.
Luxury vinyl plank and tile is a premium yet affordable product that offers excellent value for the decorating dollar. Let's break down the benefits.
This product offers nature-inspired, true-to-life images of wood, stone, and tile. They are taken with high-definition photography and follow all the latest trends. There are hundreds of photographs from which to choose.
The floors have depth, dimension, and textured looks. Rather than sheets, the material is cut into long planks, often used to mimic hardwood boards. It is also cut into square, tile-sized pieces, often used for stone or tile looks.
Luxury vinyl tile or plank is often difficult to discern from the real thing. The price won't be nearly the same, however.
Luxury vinyl is layered and five times thicker than the original product. A clear, melamine wear layer protects the floor from scratches, scuffs, and dents. It's impossible to wear off the design sheet!
Unlike a water-resistant product that repels only for a short time, it is impervious to liquid. As a result, it can be submerged or spilled on, and nothing gets through to your vinyl plank (LVP) or tile.
Regular sweeping and periodic mopping is all it takes. Be sure to use a manufacturer-approved cleaner and avoid abrasive, waxy, shine-promoting cleaners.
The planks or LVT pieces can be glued or installed as a floating floor. With the latter, pieces click, mat, and hover over the subfloor without adhesives.
